Преобразование 1 демонстрирует поведение по умолчанию элемента xsl:number. Нумерация конкретных разделов зависит от позиции элемента chapter. Нумерация на каждом уровне идет независимо. Установка атрибута level равным значению "multiple" в преобразовании 2 позволяет осуществить более естественную нумерацию.
